Balancing Pencil Challenge
In this exploration, students are given washers and wire and challenged to balance a pencil on their finger.

Resources Required: Sharpened pencil, 2 washers (a thin plate with a hole that is normally used to distribute the load of a threaded fastener, such as a bolt or nut), 30 cm of floral wire (or other thin, bendable wire)
